July 19 – Official news: Verona defender Juan Cava has joined Juventus in a transfer deal worth €11 million, plus an additional €1.8 million in bonus payments.
Juan Cava officially becomes a member of Juventus, with the contract running until June 30, 2029!
The 23-year-old Colombian defender has transferred from Verona to Juventus for a fee of €11 million, payable over three financial years, along with additional costs amounting to €1.8 million. Additionally, there is a variable bonus of up to €2 million based on achieving sporting objectives.
Cava was born in Cali, Colombia’s third-largest city, and played 50 games for one of the largest teams there, Atletico Nacional, before his first move abroad to Italy in the summer of 2022.
In his two seasons at Verona, Cava got a taste of Italian football: last season, the left-back made 22 appearances in Serie A (starting 17 times), contributing to his team’s success; in the second half of the season, he featured in 17 out of 18 matches, with performances that caught the eye and showed continued growth.
Now, he is ready to take an important step in his career, and we welcome him with open arms!
