In the 40th minute, Zizo broke through on the right flank and then delivered a cross. Adel struck a powerful shot from outside the penalty area to score, giving Egypt an early lead at 1-0.

On July 30, in the final match of Group C of the Olympic Men’s Football tournament, Spain U23 faced off against Egypt U23.
In the 14th minute, Lopez dribbled into the penalty area from the right side of the box but was thwarted by a defending player. Egypt then launched a quick counterattack, with Adel cutting inside from the left and entering the penalty area, only for his shot to be blocked by a defender.
In the 18th minute, after Lopez broke through on the right and passed the ball, Pobier took a long-range shot from just outside the penalty area. The shot was dangerous, hitting the post before bouncing out.
In the 22nd minute, Coka received the ball just outside the penalty area and, seeing that the defenders were not closing in quickly enough, unleashed a powerful shot that the goalkeeper managed to tip over the bar.
In the 29th minute, Spain earned a corner kick, which Oroz delivered into the penalty area. Pobier’s subsequent volley went wide.
In the 32nd minute, Egypt was awarded a free-kick just outside the penalty area. Zizo took the shot directly but missed the target by a considerable margin.
At halftime, Egypt held a 1-0 lead over Spain.
