According to The Athletic’s ace reporter David Ornstein, Arsenal’s attacking prodigy Obi-Martin has rejected the new contract offered by the Gunners and may join the Manchester United youth team this summer.
Obi-Martin made his name known to football fans worldwide last November when he scored ten goals in a 14-3 thrashing of Liverpool’s U16 team by Arsenal’s U16 side. After being promoted to Arsenal’s U18 team, his goal-scoring rate remained high, with 29 goals in 17 league games.
David Ornstein revealed that Arsenal had offered what they considered to be a very reasonable contract proposal, but Obi-Martin did not accept it. Earlier this week, Obi-Martin visited Manchester United’s Carrington training base for preliminary discussions.
