Georgeson may be leaving Lillestrøm after just six months. Manchester United hope he will take on the role of assistant coach, and negotiations are currently underway.
Earlier on Thursday, several different sources in Norway and Sweden told Netavision that the Swede is expected to leave Åråsen. For Manchester United, they only need to redeem the buyout clause already agreed upon in Georgeson’s contract for him to join the Premier League club.
Some sources claim that the funds should amount to approximately 4 million Norwegian kroner, and there are some formalities that still need to be taken care of before everything is in place. If all details fall into place as desired by all parties, Georgeson could make the move to Manchester United by the weekend.
Georgeson has previously served as an assistant at Brentford, Arsenal, and Southampton, with a focus on set-pieces.
