On August 7, the Olympic athletics women’s 100m hurdles preliminary heats took place, with Chinese athletes Wu Yanni and Lin Yuwei participating.
Wu Yanni was placed in the first heat, lane 8, and finished with a time of 12.97 seconds, placing 6th in her heat and advancing to the repechage.
Lin Yuwei was placed in heat five, lane 6, and finished with a time of 13.24 seconds, placing 7th in her heat and also advancing to the repechage.
According to the rules, the top three finishers in each heat and the next three fastest overall will advance to the semifinals, while the remaining eligible athletes will move on to the repechage, which is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon.
