According to Spanish media outlet football-espana, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Kylian Mbappé will make his debut on August 15th in the European Super Cup, with Atalanta as their opponents.
Currently, Real Madrid is in the United States preparing for their pre-season matches. In their previous two friendly games, Los Blancos lost 0-1 to AC Milan and 1-2 to Barcelona, suffering consecutive defeats. However, Ancelotti is not overly concerned about the results; he is more focused on improving the players’ fitness levels.
As planned, Real Madrid will face Chelsea on August 7th before returning to Spain and traveling to Warsaw a week later for the European Super Cup.
Ancelotti stated, “The match against Atalanta is where we plan to have Mbappé make his debut.”
He further added, “Mbappé is clearly ready to start competing from the European Super Cup.”
