Manchester United has been making a series of moves in the summer window, securing the 18-year-old prodigy Youro. To free up more financial space, Manchester United is preparing to sell Scott McTominay, and besides Fulham, Tottenham Hotspur has also shown interest in the Scottish international.
The 27-year-old McTominay has now received offers from multiple clubs. Manchester United needs to sell him to balance the books, allowing them to make significant purchases later in the summer window. The club has already spent £36.5 million on Zirkzee and is set to pay £52 million for Lille defender Youro.
Among McTominay’s many suitors, the most notable is another Premier League giant, Tottenham Hotspur. Previously, Manchester United rejected Fulham’s £30 million bid for McTominay. Last year, the club had even quoted £30 million for McTominay, but now they are asking for £40 million.
Tottenham manager Postecoglou has long been an admirer of McTominay, believing he can add depth to the team alongside Maddison. However, Ten Hag prefers to keep McTominay at Old Trafford.
