Catalan media outlet “El Mundo Deportivo” reports that although Barcelona considers Vitinho Roque as one of the players who could leave the club, the player’s desire to stay in La Liga adds a certain degree of uncertainty to how his departure will be managed.
The report notes that Barcelona’s technical staff believes the best option for Roque is to find a team where he can play regularly and accelerate his development. In the past six months, Roque has had very little playing time at Barcelona but remains an interesting prospect for several clubs on the market.
Porto, for example, has shown interest, though their offer did not meet Barcelona’s expectations. Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr also has long been interested in Roque. The latest team to express interest in him is Brazilian club Corinthians. However, Roque’s agent, André Cury, has ruled out the possibility of the player returning to Brazil. Initially, Cury was not open to a loan deal for the player but has since acknowledged that it might be the best option currently.
Roque’s ultimate goal is to succeed at Barcelona, so if he leaves temporarily, he prefers to join another European team, ideally in La Liga, a preference that has been understood and supported by Barcelona. “El Mundo Deportivo” suggests Sevilla as a potential destination, with En-Nesyri close to signing with Fenerbahçe, leaving Sevilla in need of a replacement, and Roque being a suitable candidate for them.
A potential issue is that relations between Barcelona and Sevilla are currently tense, but anything can happen in the transfer market. Overall, Barcelona is optimistic that Roque will find a team in La Liga where he can play regularly.
