On August 5, according to British media outlet Sky Sports, Atlético Madrid continues to negotiate with Manchester City over the transfer of Julián Álvarez. Their current offer stands at €70 million, which is still below Manchester City’s valuation.
It is reported that Atlético Madrid officially initiated negotiations with Manchester City over the weekend, initially offering €55 million plus an additional €15 million in variable clauses, totaling €70 million. However, this falls significantly short of Manchester City’s previous valuation of the player, who currently has a market value of €90 million according to Transfermarkt.
Previously, Paris Saint-Germain had reportedly made a bid worth €60 million for Álvarez. The 24-year-old forward played 54 games last season for Manchester City, scoring 19 goals and providing 13 assists.
