On August 6, China’s women’s volleyball team lost to Turkey with a total score of 2-3 in the Paris Olympic Games, failing to reach the semifinals.
After the game, media figure Pei Li wrote on his personal Weibo: “It’s normal for China’s women’s volleyball team to be eliminated from the top four by Turkey. Although they tried their best to gel as a team, it didn’t quite work out, especially in terms of coordination with Zhu Ting. Over several matches, I felt that the last two sets against Serbia in the group stage were played the best – thrilling and cohesive, like a complete team playing together. As for other periods, there was a somewhat disjointed feeling. Regardless of how the matches progressed, there was virtually no communication on the court.”
“After the Olympics, China’s women’s volleyball team can completely rebuild, forming a new team centered around Li Yingying.”
