Today, the Chinese table tennis team bound for the Paris Olympics arrived in Paris, France. Previously, Liu Guoliang, President of the Chinese Table Tennis Association, gave an interview addressing why he is not on the delegation list.
Liu Guoliang stated, “For the entire Olympic delegation, the table tennis team has a quota of 15 people entering the Olympic Village, including 8 athletes, as well as coaches and medical personnel outside the venue, with each position precisely allocated to specific individuals. In order to give more quotas to coaches and their teams who need it to ensure the team’s success, I am participating in my capacity as an official of the International Table Tennis Federation. Therefore, whether it’s at the competition venue or in the Olympic Village, I will be where I should be.”
