Central Rosario has officially announced that 68-year-old Argentine coach Miguel Angel Russo has resigned.
“I want to thank all the fans for their passion. With a heavy heart, I believe it is time to step down. I think this is best for the club, and I want to thank my players, all the club staff, for your efforts,” said Miguel Angel Russo in his resignation speech.
The renowned Argentine coach Russo has managed several clubs including Universidad de Chile, Boca Juniors, Estudiantes de La Plata, San Lorenzo, Millonarios, and Al-Nassr Riyadh. He returned for the fifth time to Central Rosario in January last year. He led Millonarios to win the Colombian championship twice, Boca Juniors to one league cup title and one Copa Libertadores title, and last season he led Rosario to win the league cup title.
