Today, the official announcement from the Jilin Provincial Sports Bureau states that former China Women’s National Team coach Shui Qingxia has signed with Changchun Dazhong Zhuoyue Women’s Football Club to serve as the team’s head coach.
Shui Qingxia, currently 58 years old, officially became the head coach of the China Women’s National Team in 2021 and led the team to win the 2022 AFC Women’s Asian Cup during her tenure. Due to the failure of the China Women’s National Team to qualify for the Paris Olympic Games, Shui stepped down from her position as head coach in November 2023.
Changchun Dazhong Zhuoyue Women’s FC is currently competing in the Chinese Women’s Super League. After 12 rounds of matches, the team remains undefeated with 7 wins and 5 draws, accumulating 26 points and ranking third in the league table.
