According to Tuttosport, Manchester City has received an offer from Juventus regarding Yan Couto, and the management will make a concrete assessment of the future of this Brazilian full-back.
Last season, on loan at La Liga side Girona, Yan Couto played a crucial role in securing Champions League qualification for his team, with his outstanding performances also earning him a spot in Brazil’s Copa America squad this summer. Upon returning from his “level-up” stint in La Liga, City fans hoped that Yan Couto would take over the starting right-back position from Kyle Walker. However, according to current information, the Brazilian is likely not to feature at the Etihad Stadium next season.
Tuttosport reports that Juventus have already made contact with Manchester City to discuss the possibility of bringing in Yan Couto, with the Old Lady hoping to complete the deal on loan. However, Manchester City are willing to listen to transfer offers, setting the price tag at not less than €25 million.
In recent weeks, Yan Couto himself has also addressed questions about his future, not ruling out the possibility of leaving Manchester City. Yan Couto said, “I had a fantastic season at Girona, and now my loan spell is over, I am considering my future, but I am still with Manchester City. My contract runs until 2026, so I will sort out personal matters during the summer, discussing them with my agent and the club.”
