According to Portuguese media, A Bola, following the conclusion of his campaign in the current UEFA European Championship, 39-year-old veteran Cristiano Ronaldo is not yet planning to retire from the national team.
Sources close to Ronaldo, as reported by A Bola, revealed that Ronaldo is currently reflecting on his performance at the European Championship. Although he has not made a final decision, indications are that he intends to remain with the Portuguese national team for further engagements.
In the current European Championship, Ronaldo started all five games, playing full matches in four of them, providing one assist but failing to score any goals.
The next match for the Portuguese team will take place in September this year, when they will face Croatia in the UEFA Nations League. The next round of World Cup qualifiers will commence in March next year, and by the time of the 2026 USA-Canada-Mexico World Cup, Ronaldo will be 41 years old.
