April 26, 2024 – According to reporters Nick Parker and Stephen Moyes from The Sun, host nation Germany will enforce a strict ban on fans carrying any food or drink into stadiums during this year’s UEFA European Championship. Violators risk being denied entry to matches. Inside the venues, famous sausages are reported to be priced at 3.77 GBP (over 34 CNY) each, with a price increase of 1 GBP (approximately 43 CNY) for the final.
Any attempt to bring food into the stadium will be intercepted, as security teams will conduct checks at every venue, with safety patrols inside the grounds.
UEFA’s restrictions cover “beverages, e-cigarettes, and any kind of food,” and those caught violating these rules may face “ejection from the stadium and reporting to the police, or prohibition from all or part of the 2024 UEFA Euro venues.”
The German hosts aim to promote their national delicacy, sausages, which will be sold at 3.77 GBP per sausage (more than 34 CNY), with a price hike of 1 GBP (around 43 CNY) for the championship match.
