On the evening of June 30th, Barcelona officially announced that Alonso, Felix, and Cancelo’s contracts had expired, signaling their departure. However, The Sun has reported that Barcelona has since withdrawn the announcements regarding Felix and Cancelo, leaving only the official notice about Alonso’s exit.
Last summer, Barcelona borrowed Cancelo from Manchester City and Felix from Atlético Madrid, with both Portuguese internationals’ loan deals now concluded.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona still intends to keep them and has already held negotiations with their agent, Jorge Mendes. Of course, the club will continue discussions with Manchester City and Atlético Madrid.
