Brighton & Hove Albion have officially announced the signing of Feyenoord midfielder Veefil, with the player joining the club until 2029.
The official announcement from Brighton reads:
Brighton & Hove Albion are delighted to confirm the signing of Dutch international Mats Veefil from Feyenoord on a contract running until 2029.
The 24-year-old defensive midfielder made his professional debut for Twente in 2018, going on to make over 70 appearances for the Eerste Divisie side across two seasons before joining Feyenoord in 2022.
In his two seasons at Feyenoord, Veefil featured 79 times, contributing nine goals and 11 assists. He earned his first cap for the Netherlands national team in March 2023 during a Euro Qualifier against Gibraltar and scored his first international goal in November last year as the Netherlands defeated Gibraltar 6-0.
