On July 6th, Burnley Football Club issued a statement announcing that Scott Parker has been appointed as the new manager of the team.
The 43-year-old Parker retired from playing in 2017 at Fulham and subsequently returned to Tottenham to take over their U18 squad, marking the start of his coaching career. In February 2019, Parker was invited by Fulham to manage the first team, officially entering the realm of senior coaching. He has also managed Bournemouth and Club Brugge, but was dismissed by Brugge last March and has been out of work since.
To date, Parker has led teams in 92 Championship matches, with a record of 48 wins, 25 draws, and 19 losses.
In the 23/24 Premier League season, Burnley finished second from bottom with only 5 wins, 9 draws, and 24 losses, resulting in their relegation to the Championship.
