Swiss forward Duah spoke at the pre-match press conference ahead of their UEFA Euro quarter-final against England. Duah discussed his feelings about representing Switzerland, as well as the upcoming opponents.
On his Euro experience:
“Playing for Switzerland in the Euros and scoring goals is very important for me and my family, not everyone gets to do it, we’re all very happy.”
On England and Palmer:
“I don’t think they’ll underestimate us; they’ll study our game against Italy closely, and we played well there. We also want to show our qualities again and play the kind of football we want. Let’s see what happens on Sunday. I’m a huge Chelsea fan, and Didier Drogba is my idol.”
On Captain Xhaka’s injury:
“All I can say is that his situation is very positive. He always wants to win, even in training. I’ve learned a winning mentality from him, how he motivates those around him and takes control.”
On comparing Bellingham’s and Shaqiri’s goals:
“I think Shaqiri’s goal was the best – it was more difficult and crucial for leveling the score.”
