Jakarta – The 2024 MotoGP season begins this weekend, March 8th to 11th, with the Losail Circuit in Qatar marking the start of a new championship series.
Throughout the year, the 2024 MotoGP calendar features 21 races. Key objectives and rivalries will color the competition on the tracks this season.
Defending champion Francesco Bagnaia’s challenge will be more daunting, while Marc Marquez’s 2024 story will differ with his new team. Fabio Quartararo, too, aims to maintain his resilience from last season, and Jorge Martin’s consistency could make him a genuine title contender if he can keep it up.
The season concludes at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia, Spain, where MotoGP 2024 wraps up. Meanwhile, the Mandalika Circuit in Indonesia is back on the prestigious calendar, hosting its event on September 27th to 29th.
Indonesia’s Mandalika race takes place during the weekend of September 27th, marking MotoGP’s third appearance in the country. Back at the opening round in Qatar’s Losail, the three-day schedule starts on Friday, March 8th, with free practice sessions for Moto3, Moto2, and MotoGP categories.
On Saturday, March 9th, Moto3, Moto2, and MotoGP qualifying sessions follow, followed by a sprint race at 11:00 PM WIB on Sunday, March 10th. The main MotoGP race is held on Monday, March 11th, with the Moto3 race at 9:00 PM WIB and the Moto2 race at 10:15 PM WIB, with the headline MotoGP race scheduled for midnight or early morning on March 11th, WIB.
