A tragic accident occurred at the historic Hockenheimring, a 92-year-old motorsport circuit in Germany. According to foreign media reports, a 21-year-old German motorcycle racer was fatally injured during a 1000-kilometer endurance race on March 31. He crashed and was subsequently hit by two following vehicles, resulting in his death on the spot.

As reported by Daily Mail among others, Troy Beinlich, aged 21, was involved in a collision during The RACEFOXX 1000 Kilometers event. He fell from his motorcycle, and two other competitors were unable to avoid hitting him, causing fatal injuries.
The 271-lap race was immediately canceled, with a rescue helicopter, police, and emergency services deployed to the scene. Despite their efforts, Beinlich succumbed to his injuries. This race was part of the German Endurance Cup series, marking the start of the season. The next endurance cup event is scheduled for May at the Nürburgring circuit.
The Mannheim traffic service has initiated an investigation, with the assistance of experts, to determine the circumstances of the accident. The police have stated that the cause of the incident remains unclear.
The Hockenheimring, one of the iconic Formula One circuits, hosted the German Grand Prix from 1977 to 2006, except for 1985 when it was held at the Nürburgring. Since 2006, the German Grand Prix has alternated between Hockenheim and the Nürburgring.
