Jakarta – Yamaha’s Fabio Quartararo is determined to give his all at the 2022 Valencia MotoGP in a bid to retain the world championship. He’s even willing to embrace the label of a “madman” to safeguard his title.
This season, Quartararo is in a fierce battle for the championship, facing competition from Ducati’s Francesco Bagnaia. In the last nine races, he has lost eight times, eroding his initial 91-point lead over Bagnaia to a 23-point deficit.
However, the opportunity to snatch additional points in Valencia remains open for Quartararo, as the Ricardo Tormo circuit suits Yamaha better. With Bagnaia also returning as the defending champion from the same venue last year, the stakes are high.
“I’ll prepare myself like crazy because I know my only chance is to win,” he declared, as reported by Crash on Thursday. “So, it doesn’t matter. I want to enjoy the race in Valencia because I know it’s the final round of the season, and then we’ll see. But I think we should enjoy the race there,” he insisted.
