Gamescom is one of the world’s largest gaming conventions, held annually in Cologne, Germany. This year’s event runs from August 21 to 25, spanning five days. KRAFTON launched the official Gamescom 2024 landing page on its website on July 3 and released a teaser trailer across its official channels on YouTube. The trailer hints at KRAFTON’s exhibition concept centered around the “Scale of Creativity,” suggesting the company will explore and expand its global influence through these game presentations. Visitors to KRAFTON’s booth will have the opportunity to experience hands-on demos of Dark and Darker Mobile, inZOI, and PUBG, as well as participate in various activities.
Dark and Darker Mobile is an RPG that combines tactical survival elements with dungeon exploration and RPG-style character growth. The game is scheduled for a global test in major markets, including South Korea, the United States, Japan, and Turkey, early in August, with plans to launch globally later this year.
inZOI is a life simulation game where players take on the role of a deity, shaping events according to their desires, experiencing new stories in different forms of life. With “deep crowd simulation,” the game allows players to witness individual lives within the city, complete with their own choices, leading to events such as illnesses, epidemics, rumors, and more, offering a near-realistic experience. Recently, the game revealed ongoing development features like cars, group activities, city editing, studios, and photo modes.
PUBG, which first debuted in Steam Early Access in 2017, celebrated its seventh anniversary this year, with a concurrent player peak of 760,000 on Steam, surpassing the peak when the game went free-to-play in 2022.
