The “Lottery + Esports” trend has reached the ancient town, with no dampening of contestants’ enthusiasm despite a two-week-long rainy spell. On June 29th, the North Division Finals of the 2024 “E Together Euro Cup” Zhejiang Provincial Lottery Esports Tournament took place in Nanxun Ancient Town, Huzhou. Three teams representing Germany, Italy, and England emerged victorious and, along with Slovakia, France, and Portugal from the previous Wenzhou South Division, advanced as group winners to the grand finals. Belgium qualified directly as the best second-placed team, while Slovenia and Albania will compete in a playoff for the final spot.
On the day of the event, flags fluttering in the wind along the stone pathways transformed the Nanxun Ancient Theater Square into a lively scene. A retro-style marketplace inspired by Honor of Kings showcased local craftsmanship, including traditional lacquer fans, lottery-themed sugar paintings, and aromatic hand-drip coffee, offering visitors a chance to experience the unique culture of Nanxun up close. The “Lottery Has a Gift, E Together Euro Cup” mini-game, where everyone was a winner, became the highlight of the day. Users could scan a code to play the game and win a chance to participate in a lucky draw, sparking a “finger exercise” craze among the crowd.
Undoubtedly, the most eye-catching attraction was the “E Together Euro Cup” themed parade featuring Cosplayers dressed as the popular Honor of Kings character “Yao.” They not only performed a flash mob dance at the Nanxun Ancient Town tourist pier but also carried props adorned with lottery elements and tournament graphics throughout the scenic area, attracting tourists for photos and turning them into a charming spectacle.
After the North Division’s thrilling competition, the even more exciting grand finale awaits. On July 6th, the 2024 “E Together Euro Cup” Zhejiang Provincial Lottery Esports Tournament Grand Finals will take place at Hangzhou Esports Center. Eight teams from both the North and South Division Finals will battle it out for the championship title. Who will reign supreme on the “European summit”? We’ll have to wait and see.
