Last week, EVO officials announced that independent player registrations for EVO 2024 surpassed 10,000, setting a new record for the largest number of individual participants in an esports event. Now, EVO has released detailed data on this year’s tournament.
In this edition of EVO, Street Fighter 6 once again draws the most competitors, with a staggering 5,265 players set to clash. This actually makes it the second-largest Evo championship ever, only trailing its own debut at Evo 2023.
Second on the list is Tekken 8, boasting an impressive 4,646 entrants, marking the biggest turnout in the series’ history, more than double the previous record set by Tekken 7 in 2019.
