Recently, former WBC cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew (30-3-1, 20 KOs) told the media that if current IBF interim heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois (21-2, 20 KOs) were to face Anthony Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs) in his next bout, he would be swiftly and brutally knocked out.
Tony Bellew stated, “Before Dubois fights Joshua, Usyk, or Tyson Fury, I can’t say he has no chance at all. But if Dubois steps into the ring with Joshua next, he will be knocked out quickly and viciously. Joshua will finish it fast.”
Joshua is tentatively scheduled to face Dubois on September 21 at Wembley Stadium in London, with the winner potentially being elevated to the status of IBF’s official champion. Although the fight hasn’t been officially announced, Joshua’s team seems to have made their decision. Zhang Zhilei (27-2-1, 22 KOs) might currently have his best option in a rematch with Joseph Parker (35-3, 23 KOs).
