Recently, former world super-lightweight and welterweight champion Ricky Hatton (45-3, 32 KOs), speaking to the media, suggested that Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) could secure a victory in his rematch against Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) on December 21st if he makes some improvements.
Hatton stated, “If Tyson Fury changes a few things, improves his movement, he can beat Usyk. But Usyk is an Olympic gold medalist, a four-time champion at cruiserweight and heavyweight – there’s nobody smarter than him. Tyson Fury is clever, but Usyk is on another level. I believe the second fight will be just as close, and Fury has a real chance of avenging his loss.”
Recently, Tyson Fury addressed Usyk on social media, saying, “Our first fight was fantastic, and I enjoyed every moment. I heard you had a broken jaw and an eye socket fracture; take your time to recover. We’ll continue our rivalry on December 21st, giving the fans a great Christmas present.”
Currently, the odds are at 1-2, with Usyk being the slight favorite. However, Fury had strong moments in rounds 3-7 of their first encounter and possesses a significant size advantage, making a second victory highly possible.
