On June 19th, according to insider “Xue Sijia,” Travis Trice is expected to join Beijing Beikong for the upcoming CBA season after playing for Xinjiang Men’s Basketball last season. Trice appeared in 38 games for Xinjiang, averaging 17.6 minutes per game, scoring 11.5 points, grabbing 2.2 rebounds, and dishing out 5 assists. He shot 47.5% from the field and 40.7% from beyond the arc.
It’s worth noting that the decision to release Trice mid-season last year sparked controversy, as the team lacked a consistent perimeter scorer. The lack of a reliable three-point shooting ability from Jones and Wigington was particularly evident in the finals, leading to criticism of Xinjiang’s choice to change imports.
