In the early hours of August 16, reporter Shams broke the news via social media that after a 10-year career in the NBA, 33-year-old Joe Harris has announced his retirement.
It is reported that Harris played 504 NBA games for teams including the Nets, Cavaliers, and Pistons, averaging 10.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game.
Notably, his career three-point shooting percentage was 43.6%, and he won the Three-Point Contest during the 2019 All-Star Weekend, leaving fans with unforgettable memories.
Former Cavaliers head coach David Blatt once commented, “Joe Harris is a very positive player; he trains all day, speaks little but listens closely to the veterans. He integrates well into our system. No matter what the situation on the court, he always gives it his all, and that’s the kind of player you want.”
