According to journalist Sam Amico from the American media Hoopswire, the Cleveland Cavaliers are having difficulties reaching an extension agreement with Okoro.
The Cavaliers have offered some extension proposals to Okoro, who is still a restricted free agent, but all have been rejected. As a result, the Cavaliers are very likely to attempt to trade him and have already engaged in some sign-and-trade discussions.
It is understood that the Detroit Pistons, currently coached by former Cavaliers head coach J.B. Bickerstaff, are very interested in Okoro. Additionally, the Spurs, Clippers, and Wizards are other teams interested in him.
Last season, Okoro played 69 games for the Cavaliers, averaging 9.4 points, 3 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game, with a shooting percentage of 49% and a three-point shooting percentage of 39.1%.
