Today, Nanjing Tongxi Men’s Basketball officially announced the addition of national team player Zhu Mingzhen and the three-year rental of Wang Lanqin. The full official statement is as follows.
“Nanjing Tongxi Basketball Club has reached a tripartite agreement with Shenyang SanSheng Club of Liaoning and Guangzhou Longshi Club: Our club player Wang Lanqin, after renewing his contract with the club, will join Liaoning Men’s Basketball on a three-year rental basis; Liaoning Men’s Basketball will trade Guo Ailun’s Class D exclusive signing rights to Guangzhou Men’s Basketball; at the same time, Zhu Mingzhen will transfer to join the Tongxi family.
Wang Lanqin was born on March 23, 1998, in Weifang, Shandong, standing 183cm tall and weighing 77kg. At the 2022 CBA Draft, our club selected him with the first overall pick, officially joining the Tongxi Men’s Basketball team. In his rookie season, Wang Lanqin delivered impressive statistics averaging 13.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1.6 steals per game. Throughout his career so far, step by step, he has made it into the All-Star Rising Stars, the National Team Short Training Camp, and the Chinese Men’s Basketball Training Squad. Millions of Tongxi fans have watched this ‘homegrown child’ gradually don the jersey adorned with the Five-Star Red Flag.
Zhu Mingzhen was born on October 8, 1996, in Beijing, standing 196cm tall and weighing 105kg, playing as a forward. Zhu Mingzhen graduated from Peking University. At the 2020 CBA Draft, Zhu Mingzhen was selected second overall in the first round by Guangzhou Longshi Club, thus entering the CBA. William has been selected to the national team multiple times. He possesses excellent physical qualities, outstanding explosive power, and precise three-point shooting, achieving a three-point shooting percentage of 40% last season. He is considered one of the top domestic 3D players, fitting well with modern basketball concepts. His arrival will further strengthen the team’s frontcourt and provide more diversified tactical options for the team.
