At 11 a.m. on July 14th, the NBA Summer League continues with the Golden State Warriors taking on the Phoenix Suns.
The Warriors are taking this summer league very seriously, led by two regular rotation players from last season, Bjelmski and Davis, while Knox, who has several years of NBA experience, also represents the Warriors. In the first three games of the summer league, the Warriors have been unstoppable, defeating the Heat by 39 points in their opener, then winning against the Lakers by 24 points, and narrowly beating the Kings by one point in the third game. They scored over 90 points in each of these three games, outscoring their opponents by a total of 64 points.
Players like Bjelmski and Davis, who have regular-season experience, dominate the summer league, showcasing efficient performances in the previous game against the Kings. Ethan Thompson, Proudon, Spenser, and others also had commendable showings, particularly Ethan Thompson, who scored 20+ points in his previous two appearances, demonstrating strong scoring ability. The Warriors’ overall lineup is very impressive.
In comparison to the Warriors, the Suns’ summer league roster lacks notable names, led by this year’s two rookies. Dunn, the 28th pick, is 21 years old, standing at 1.98 meters tall, playing as a shooting guard, and hailing from the University of Virginia. Last season, he averaged 8.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game, with a field goal percentage of 54.8% and a three-point percentage of 20.0%. Iguodala, the 40th pick, is 22 years old, measuring 2.08 meters tall, playing as a center, and coming from Marquette University. Last season, he averaged 13.4 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game, with a field goal percentage of 57.6%. Additionally, Isaiah Wong, the 55th pick who played for the Pacers last season, will represent the Suns in this game.
This is the Suns’ first summer league game of the season, while the Warriors have already played three games and have been in exceptional form. In this match, they aim to extend their winning streak to four games.
