Today, the NBA’s free agency period officially began.
According to insider Shams Charania, free agent Derrick Jones Jr. is set to ink a three-year, $30 million contract with the Los Angeles Clippers.
Last season, Jones played a significant role as a starting small forward, helping the Dallas Mavericks reach the Finals and proving himself as a crucial part of the team.
Now, he has achieved his goal of securing a multi-million dollar deal, and the Clippers have added an important piece to their roster.
NBA reporter Kelly Iko later confirmed that the contract is fully guaranteed, without any team or player options, and includes a 5% trade kicker.
