On Friday local time, the Italian Tennis Federation unveiled its roster for the Paris Olympics, with newly crowned world number one Jannik Sinner set to compete in both singles and doubles, alongside doubles partner Matteo Berrettini.
Sinner
This will mark the 22-year-old Sinner’s Olympic debut. This week, he surpassed Novak Djokovic to become the first Italian world number one. Sinner captured his maiden Grand Slam title at the Australian Open this year and reached the French Open semifinals, where he was defeated by eventual champion Carlos Alcaraz. He boasts a season record of 33 wins against 3 losses.
