Today, former NBA player and Spanish basketball star Sergio Rodríguez officially declared his retirement.
Selected 27th overall in the first round of the 2006 draft by the Phoenix Suns, Rodríguez was later traded to the Portland Trail Blazers. He then played for teams including the Sacramento Kings, New York Knicks, and Philadelphia 76ers, amassing a total of 353 NBA games with averages of 15 minutes per game, scoring 4.9 points and dishing out 3.4 assists.
After his stint in the NBA, Rodríguez returned to Europe, playing for Real Madrid, CSKA Moscow, and Olimpia Milano.
