On June 24, according to insider Marc Stein, it’s widely believed that once the 76ers conclude their summer free agency maneuvers, they will secure a five-year contract worth around $205 million to extend their franchise cornerstone, Maxi, as their team’s primary shooting guard.
Before the official extension (or trade) takes place, Maxi will occupy the 76ers’ $13 million salary cap space allowed by league rules, allowing them still to be active in the free agent market with some financial maneuverability.
