According to German newspaper Bild, UEFA’s proposal to stage a grand fireworks show at the Allianz Arena during the upcoming Euro Cup opening match has been rejected by local authorities.
The highly anticipated match between Germany and Scotland is set to kick off on June 15th at midnight Beijing time, with plans originally calling for the launch of 60 fireworks to celebrate the commencement of the prestigious tournament.
However, the Munich City Council has expressed concerns over the potential hazards of such a large-scale display. As of now, UEFA is still awaiting final approval from the Munich government.
