According to British outlet talkSPORT, José Mourinho, who has taken over at Fenerbahçe, is interested in bringing Manchester United center-back Victor Lindelöf to the Turkish club.
The report suggests that Mourinho, as he develops his plans to reinforce the squad, has identified Lindelöf, a player he previously managed, as a target. The Portuguese manager, who was in charge of Manchester United in 2017, was instrumental in signing the Swedish defender, known then for his ball-playing skills and free-kick prowess in the Portuguese league.
It is understood that Manchester United is open to selling Lindelöf this summer to generate funds, but the transfer’s success will depend on whether Fenerbahçe can agree on terms with the player regarding his salary.
