After reaching an agreement with the player, Brazilian forward João Carlos joins Liaoning Ironmen Football Club. Born in Brazil in 1995, João Carlos plays as a center forward. He made his professional debut in 2016 at Brazil’s América RJ and moved to Europe in the 2018 season, signing with Portuguese Super Liga side Portimonense. Since then, João Carlos has played for several clubs in both Brazil and Portugal. His breakthrough came in the 2021 season when he scored 18 goals in 27 appearances (26 starts) for Portuguese LigaPro team University of Coimbra, winning the Golden Boot that year. This season, serving as a substitute for Primeira Liga’s Estoril, he featured in 25 matches across all competitions, totaling 396 minutes, and netted 6 goals, averaging a goal every 66 minutes – making him the team’s most efficient scorer. Standing at 187cm, João Carlos possesses a strong physique, excellent technical skills, and a great ability to move, receive passes, header, and find space in the box. Notably, his left foot is his standout asset, making him a threat within the penalty area. As the only current Portuguese Super Liga striker in China League One, João Carlos’ arrival is expected to significantly boost the team’s attacking prowess!
