“I’ll put it out there, Spirit has no chance of winning a Major title in the next five years.
This current Spirit team reminds me of the squad that transitioned from Gambit to Cloud9, where Sergey Rykhtorov | Ax1Le suddenly lost his touch because he was figured out. Danil Kryshkovets | donk will likely face a similar fate; he’s undoubtedly talented, but he can’t escape being analyzed.
Truth be told, their best shot at winning was this year, before opponents got too familiar with them. But they made a mistake in map selection against FaZe.
Spirit will remain a competitive team for some time and might win other top-tier tournaments, but their chances of triumphing at a Major are slim.”
