In an exclusive interview with the club, Brentford manager Thomas Frank shared his thoughts on the upcoming Euros, expressing his desire for either Denmark or England to lift the trophy.
Speaking about the match against England, Frank said, “Of course, I would love Denmark to win this encounter. However, I believe England will progress and go all the way. The chances of Denmark defeating England are slim, and sincerely, I wish England all the best in their quest for the title.”
Commenting on his role as a BBC commentator during the tournament, Frank remarked, “It’s enjoyable, and naturally, I’ll be watching the games. There have been years when I’ve watched every single match, but maybe not this time around. Nevertheless, I’ll still be closely following the Euros.”
Addressing his players’ participation in the Euros, Frank stated, “Whenever our players represent their countries, whether it’s any competition, I always wish them well, and that remains the case for this summer’s tournament.”
Frank himself has a history with the Danish national team, having played for Denmark U16, U17, and U19. Several current Danish squad members have previously been under his tutelage. This year, Brentford will have seven players traveling to Germany for the Euros.
Denmark will face Slovenia in their opening match, followed by a clash with England in the second round.
