In the early morning of August 9, in the Olympic Men’s Basketball semi-final, Serbia narrowly lost to the USA with a score of 91-95 and will now compete with Germany for the bronze medal.
After the game, Serbian veteran coach Pesic expressed extreme dissatisfaction with the refereeing and lashed out at the referees during an interview:
“There is a Serbian saying, whoever loses has the right to be angry. I am very angry right now because we did not receive respect. I have to say it, the best player in the world played for 37 minutes and only got 4 free throws!”
