Today, former Chelsea legend Vinnie Jones spoke about Sterling in an interview, suggesting that after being snubbed by Malesca, Sterling should consider retiring immediately.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Jones said: “Sterling not being included in the new season’s squad is truly surprising. But everything will pass, he has done incredibly well. His career has been glittering, and if I were him, I would choose to retire now and pursue other work.”
“He has sufficient financial means to support himself and his family, so he should start enjoying life. He has maintained peak form over the years and made contributions to several top clubs. I don’t want to see his form decline. When I made my decision back then, a journalist thought I would definitely return, so I chose to retire directly to prove him wrong.”
“On the last day of the transfer window, many players in Chelsea’s current squad will be phased out, or sold off. These players require the club to pay too much in salaries. The current squad has over 40 players, I really don’t know what the final outcome will be.”
Vinnie Jones was known as a notorious “hard man” player during his career, and after retiring, he transitioned into becoming an actor.
