Al Hilal Riyadh have officially announced the signing of Manchester City full-back Joao Cancelo for a transfer fee of 25 million euros. According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, Cancelo’s former club, Valencia, will receive approximately 400,000 euros as a FIFA solidarity fee from this transfer.
Valencia is currently experiencing severe financial strain and they urgently need to complete the termination of their winger, Castillejo’s contract. After Cancelo’s move to Al Hilal, Valencia will receive 5% of the transfer fee, which amounts to 375,000 euros as a solidarity fee. With this additional income, Valencia plans to use it to pay the termination fee of Castillejo’s contract.
