August 24. According to The Guardian journalist, Jacob Steinberg, Chelsea forward Armando Broja’s loan move to Ipswich Town may fall through due to documentation issues. Both parties are currently exploring other solutions.
The 22-year-old Broja came up through the Tottenham Hotspur youth system before joining Chelsea’s academy on a free transfer in 2009. He has been loaned out to Vitesse, Southampton, and Fulham successively. Last season, he made eight substitute appearances for Fulham, providing one assist. This summer, he played with Albania in the European Championship, where the team finished at the bottom of their group. Currently, his market value is estimated at 22 million euros by Transfermarkt.
