According to the German media outlet FUSSBALL.NEWS, Eintracht Frankfurt has set their sights on Japanese national team defender Kota Machida.
Previously, Frankfurt was interested in bringing in Greek international Konstantinos Kyriakakis to strengthen their central defense, but this transfer fell through. Kota Machida, who plays for Saint-Gilloise, is a good alternative, and the player himself favors the Bundesliga. Kota Machida played 31 games last season, making him an indispensable member of Saint-Gilloise.
Reports suggest that Frankfurt might be willing to pay a transfer fee of eight million euros to secure Machida’s move, though Crystal Palace are also joining the competition.
