According to German Sky Sports, Hoeness once stated in an interview that everyone should get a second chance, and Goretzka firmly believes these words, thus deciding to stay at Bayern to try and reclaim his starting position.
The report states that in the last three days, Bayern has publicly expressed its desire for Goretzka to transfer and has been putting constant pressure on him. However, Goretzka remains unmoved and still wants to stay and fight for his chance.
It is understood that there are already MLS teams showing interest in Goretzka, but he has no intention of playing in the United States at all. Only European giants such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, or Liverpool could pique his interest. To date, Bayern’s management no longer expects Goretzka to leave before the transfer window closes.
German Sky Sports revealed that the main reason for Goretzka’s resolute attitude to stay is due to a recent statement by Hoeness, who said at the time: “In life, everyone deserves a second chance, and this also applies to Goretzka’s career at Bayern.”
