On August 24, former Barcelona and Manchester City goalkeeper, Bravo, gave an interview to Sport where he discussed the differences between the two clubs.
Bravo played for Barcelona from 2014-2017 and then continued with Manchester City until 2020. When asked about the differences between Barcelona and Manchester City, Bravo’s comments were striking.
Bravo: “I always say that Barcelona acts like a small team. Yes, you might say that Barcelona is a big club, Barcelona has a lot of recognition, and the stadium is always full, but that’s just on the surface.”
“Their internal structure is very small; you always see the same faces, such as two or three staff members, four security guards, and the same chef; you hardly see anyone else.”
When it came to talking about Manchester City, Bravo had nothing but praise.
Bravo: “When you come to Manchester City, you find everything is completely different; they have a lot of resources: someone in charge of the swimming pool, someone in charge of the locker room, someone in charge of the medical area, someone in charge of the gym… “
“Manchester City never holds back their resources; they want the players to have the best development.”
