Recently, new Bayern Munich signing Palinha gave an interview to the media.
About three years ago, Palinha was a visitor to the Allianz Arena during the 2020 European Cup (where Portugal lost 2-4 to Germany). This Sunday, he is expected to make his first appearance at the Allianz Arena as a Bayern player.
Palinha said, “I still remember that fantastic stadium, but I’d rather not remember the result of that match. We had the opportunity to play at the Allianz Arena back then, and now being able to play here wearing the Bayern jersey, honestly, I did not foresee this day coming. For me, it’s a dream come true.”
“Being able to play my first Bundesliga match in the Allianz Arena will be special. I hope we can secure another victory – that’s the most important thing. Typically, the Allianz Arena is always packed. So, I’m a bit nervous and looking forward to experiencing the atmosphere there, seeing how the fans inspire us and help us win matches.”
“I observed my teammates’ performance against Wolfsburg. The Bundesliga, like the Premier League, is a league with intense physical competition and high-intensity matches. Other teams are also strong, and there are no easy games. Freiburg beat Stuttgart in their last game and are in high spirits. We will face a strong opponent – but we are Bayern, and we want to win.”
